Cash-only takeaway ordering, without Just Eat.
A simple branded ordering app for Chinese takeaways, Indian takeaways, kebab shops, chippies, pizza shops and other local food businesses that want direct orders without forcing online card payment.
The idea
Let the customer order properly. Let the shop keep taking cash.
The customer orders from the takeaway's own website or app. They can choose collection or delivery, with cash as the payment option if that is how the business wants to operate.
The shop gets a dedicated always-on order screen instead of relying on someone noticing a message, phone call or handwritten order book.
How it works
Do not trust one notification. Build an acknowledgement system.
Order lands in the shop
The order is written to the backend immediately and appears on the shop order screen in real time.
The shop is alerted
The live order screen sounds an alarm. Push notification acts as a second alert if the browser is not front and centre.
Staff accept the order
The alert continues until someone presses Accept. Only then does the customer see that the takeaway has confirmed the order.
Reliable order receiving
The live shop screen is primary. Push is backup.
The shop keeps an order dashboard open on a tablet, phone or PC. A real-time connection delivers new orders to that screen immediately. A loud repeating alert stays active until staff acknowledge it.
Push notifications run alongside that live screen as a second path. Later, if an order is still not accepted after a set time, the system can escalate through another alert channel.

One ordering engine. Rebrand it for multiple local takeaways.
Build the core once: menu, basket, customer details, cash/card option, collection/delivery, order database, live shop dashboard, repeating alarm, push notifications, accept/reject and customer status. Then skin and configure it for each business.
